This project is done on the manual mill and is a requirement for safety level orange. All areas of this part must meet specific measurements and requirements. This item is a screw sizer. The red marks on the top surface are the scratches I used when measuring where to put the holes. The holes on the main body area are used to size screws and the oval hole toward the left of the photo was made to be the area that could be used to attach a carabiner or keychain. I first cut the stock on the horizontal band saw. I needed to cut very slowly since the stock was so thick and solid. I needed to face, drill, and tap to create this part.
