Distinction Award Display

Display Case

I did this project over the summer before my senior year. My classmates and I worked with Punahou DTE teacher Jeremiah Hueske. The project was to build a display case for the Engineering Distinction Awardees. We designed it to be as modular as possible so that future groups of students could expand it or take down portions of it with ease. Each awardee is 3D scanned from the shoulders up, printed, and placed in their own display cube that mounts easily to the honeycomb backboard. The cubes are designed so that they can be easily rearranged for when the next generation of awardees is added each year. Each hexagon of the honeycomb backboard can be easily removed and new hexagons can be easily added on in case the board needs to expand in the future.

I was unable to dedicate as much time as I wanted to on this project due to my summer school schedule. I worked on CADing the DTE logo to cut and also engrave on the personal plaques.
