In this project I was required to make a phone case with the 3D Printer. A phone case is very useful when you drop your phone or if your phone gets hit by something. This phone case is very sustainable because it is PLA plastic and there is very little waste. I also used 15% infill which means there are many air pockets in the case to reduce the amount of plastic I used.

In this project I used a caliper, Rhinoceros, Simplify 3D, and a MakerGear 3D Printer. I started by sketching a design of what I wanted my case to look like. After that I used a caliper to measure the dimensions of my phone. Then, using my 3D designing knowledge from Mr. Kinnear and from previous experiences, I designed my phone case using CAD. I then exported it as a .stl file so that I could 3D print it.
